This book is a must have for anyone just thinking of getting goats to someone who have had goats for years.. I purchased the previous edition before I purchased goats and would say it was one of the best references I have. The author was one of the most knowledgeable well written person when it comes to goat information.
This book includes articles written by the the author and other knowledgeable goat owners covering what a person needs to know before getting into the world of goats to those who have owned goats for many years.. It has information covering kidding to having to say goodbye to our goat friends. I find the articles covering goat health most useful. It includes symptoms of illnesses, possible treatments to knowing when to call the veterinarian.
Although I already have the prior edition this is a great update with even more information.
If you raising dairy goats, meat goats, use goats as weed trimmers, or just enjoy them as furry friends and pets, you will find the book useful and an excellent reference.
