Create an insulating space of air between two layers of greenhouse plastic using this air inflation kit. Easily attach this kit to your hoop house, install a second layer of plastic, and inflate the air between the layers creating an insulated space.

- Note: We recommend that you use air from the outside, which is less humid, reducing condensation.
- Note: This fan lacks a plug. Many growers hardwire them in, but a plug can easily be attached. Consult a licensed electrician if this is something you are not comfortable doing.
Sizing the Second Sheet of Plastic
The second layer goes over the top of your greenhouse, from hip board to hip board, under your main cover. The inflation kit blows air between the two layers. Make the sheet as long as your greenhouse. Our sheets are cut 3' longer than the size on the label, which leaves enough to fasten at the end walls. The one exception is a 20'-long greenhouse: it takes a 30'-long sheet, or a 40'-long sheet when the sheet is 40' wide or wider.
All-Metal and Derecho kits
These sizes are for a hip board 40" to 48" off the ground, where most growers put it. If your hip board is lower, you want the second layer to run all the way to the ground, or you want to cover the end walls too, call our tech team at 888-406-1982.

DIY greenhouse kits
With roll-up sides, the second layer goes from hip board to hip board. Without roll-up sides, the hip boards have no lock channel, so the second layer runs from baseboard to baseboard, like the main cover.

Gothic greenhouses: add the Air Inflation Jumper Hose. The tight peak of a gothic greenhouse limits how far air moves between the layers, and a second tube fills the far side. This applies to the DIY Gothic, Gothic All-Metal, Premium Gothic and Derecho kits.
